Протест и демократия: Ханна Арендт и учреждение свободы
Аннотация
Стабильные представительные демократии, легитимирующие власть, — огромное достижение Нового времени — повсеместно находятся под угрозой. Труды Ханны Арендт, как никого другого, могут помочь нам понять современное разочарование в демократии. Арендт показывает, что по мере роста бюрократий и правительств индивидуальный поступок имеет все меньше шансов на что либо повлиять. В результате — фрустрация, которая ведет к негодованию граждан, с левой и правой сторон политического спектра. А уже эти гнев и фрустрация ведут к прославлению протеста как пространства свободы в современной политике. В данной статье я обсуждаю работы нескольких политических теоретиков последних десятилетий — Саймона Кричли, Дэвида Грэбера и Жака Рансьера, каждый из которых считает, что место свободы не в правительстве, а в протестном движении. Я сопоставлю их идеи с тезисом Арендт о том, что свобода должна быть основана и укоренена в политических институциях.
