Keti Chukhrov

Keti Chukhrov is a ScD in philosophy, an associate professor at the Department of Art History at the Russian State University for the Humanities, visiting professor at the European Univerisity at Saint Petersburg. Chukhrov has authored numerous texts on art theory, culture, politics, and philosophy. Her postdoctoral dissertation dealt with the anthropology and ontology of performativity. Her full-length books include: To Be—To Perform. ‘Theatre’ in Philosophic Critique of Art (Spb: European Un-ty, 2011), and Pound &£ (Logos, 1999). Her present research interests and publications deal with two themes: the impact of socialist economy on the ethical and aesthetic epistemes of historical socialism, and art as edifice and institute of contemporaneity.
